Cougar Swimmer Takes Part in Opening Ceremony at Beijing Olympics Washington State University swimmer Rugile Mileisyte participated in the Parade of Athletes during the opening ceremony at the 2008 Olympics, Friday. Lindsay Henahan to Join Cougar Swimming Staff Lindsay Henahan, a former Washington State University swimmer, will be joining the Cougar swimming staff as an assistant coach, WSU Head Coach Erica Quam announced, Thursday. Henahan will be replacing Suzanne Yee; who spent the last eight seasons in Pullman. Henahan's duties will commence July 1. WSU Swimming Adds Two for Next Season High school seniors Lorraine Zannini and Rachael Krager each signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Washington State swim team next season announced WSU Head Coach Erica Quam, Thursday. Four Swimmers Earn Pacific-10 First and Second Team All-Academic Honors The Washington State swim team had 10 student-athletes recognized for their academic achievements by the Pacific-10 Conference, announced commissioner Tom Hansen.
